Jonathan grew up in Bury St Edmunds, completing his A-Levels at school in the area before moving to the north-east of England to attend university. With a love of education and in particular, languages and different cultures, Jonathan completed a BA honours degree in French and History at the University of Sunderland, where he spent time working as a language assistant in a French secondary school.
Also passionate about business, in 2005 Jonathan took his first steps into the world of education franchising, when he joined a leading foreign language provider as franchise partner for the east of England. Having caught the franchise bug, Jonathan decided to explore a career in the industry and over the next 15 years he held a number of management posts in the sector, including Franchise Support Manager, Franchise Sales Manager and Franchise Field Consultant.
In 2022, Jonathan returned to his routes in education, taking on his most challenging role to date as Franchise Development Manager at School is Easy. Jonathan runs the Bury St Edmunds office, serving customers across the region. He also helps drive the acquisition of new UK franchisees and works closely with existing franchise partners, supporting the growth of their businesses.
Jonathan is a keen sportsman and has enjoyed playing cricket and basketball over the years. He also has a love of winter sports and takes the opportunity to ski with his family whenever he can.
