Tutoring Agency
Hi, I'm Susan Cumberland
School is Easy Tri-Cities/New West is led by Susan Cumberland, an educator, entrepreneur, and lifelong advocate for student success. Born and raised in British Columbia, Susan earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia before taking her passion for teaching abroad to Japan, where she taught English for more than three years.
Susan’s educational journey later took her to California, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and served as the Assistant Coordinator of San Diego State University’s Intensive English Programs, one of the largest ESL programs in the United States. After returning to Canada and becoming a parent, Susan founded School is Easy in 2002 with a simple mission: to help students build confidence in school, reach their goals, and fulfill their dreams.
Susan and her team at School is Easy provide personalized tutoring designed around each student’s unique learning style, personality, and goals. Offering support in subjects including English, ESL, writing, higher-level math, and more, the team focuses on more than grades alone, helping students gain confidence, develop stronger study habits, and reach their full potential.
At School is Easy of Tri-Cities/New West, our team is passionate about helping students gain confidence, achieve their academic goals, and discover their potential. We believe that the right support can make all the difference, which is why we take a personalized approach to every student’s learning journey.
Meet Friday
For me, tutoring is about helping others who are willing to work to achieve their dreams and goals. I also love giving back to society what it has given to me. I’m Friday, and I make a difference.
Meet Tanya
I like my students to feel confident while learning and enjoy all the steps along the way. Languages are to be acquired by all senses: listening, singing, eating, thinking, reading, speaking, or dreaming up a language. I love helping students of all levels in my subject areas become more successful and feel proud of their achievements. I’m Tanya, and I make a difference.
Meet Lyndal
It’s really rewarding for me to empower and support student learning and see how that impacts not just their results but how they feel about themselves. You can see it truly means something to have someone give time and individual support to a student in need. I’m Lyndal and I make a difference.
