Learning Chess is a lifelong pursuit and is rewarding in many ways. It not only adds an impressive skill to your child’s skillset but is a fun way to sharpen and improve the mind too.
Chess has been shown to develop problem-solving ability, abstract reasoning, calm under pressure, creative thinking, pattern recognition, strategic thinking memory and sports ability.
Our Chess tutoring is suitable for players from beginner to advanced intermediate skill levels. We focus on helping pupils understand the game, develop strategies and practise sequences that can be deployed at Chess Tournaments.
We focus on getting the basics right, building strong objectives and goals and planning how to get there and then analysing the student’s games to teach them to self-audit and log their moves so we can track how they have played with friends and family.
In addition to basic moves, special moves and basic endgames we also teach checkmate strategies, defence and offence tactics and how to dominate the board to their advantage.
