Giorgia grew up in a small town in Italy and, as a child, loved going to school and learning about languages and cultures different from her own. The year before graduation, she won the ‘Chinese Government Full Scholarship’ to study in China for one year. She set off for Beijing in 2008 and in 2009 got her Masters degree in International Communication from Turin University. After her first year in China, she decided she wanted to learn more about Chinese culture and improve her Mandarin. She took the opportunity and spent the next 4 years in the south of China, working as a production manager for an Italian company. During her last year in China, she spent some time in Qingdao working as an ESL teacher at a local language school. After moving to Canada, she had two daughters and soon realized she wanted to start off with a new career. Education was a field she had always been passionate about and she decided to enroll in the Early Childhood Educator program, to learn more about children’s developmental needs and diverse learning patterns and behaviors.
As a parent of young kids, she is very committed about helping children thrive in their school years and become the best version of themselves. She recognizes that every student’s personality and learning style is different and that a tailored educational approach can be the key to help them achieve the best academic results. Her motivation to help families find the best support for their children and her desire to be an academically involved parent are factors that led Giorgia to become part of the SIE family.
